Visiting Eileen Gray

On October 8th Julia Hemmerling travelled to Dublin in order to research materials on Eileen Gray at the Museum and Archive of the National Museum of Ireland. For this purpose she enlisted the help of Jennifer Goff, curator of the exhibition and Eileen Gray specialist. Concerning our research on Flora Ruchat-Roncati, two questions were discussed: How to display a biography? How to research a previously marginalised, less known female pioneer? It was also interesting to uncover connections between the two women, given that already in 1989, while Gray was still overlooked in historiography, Ruchat-Roncati showed interest in her work and her world.
